MRes in Medical Robotics and Image Guided Intervention
Imperial College London - QS Rank 2
Expected | Full-time
👋 Greetings! I'm Wang Hongyu, currently pursuing an MRes in Medical Robotics and Image-Guided Intervention at Imperial College London in London, UK. My research, supervised by Prof. Daniel Elson (ICL) and Prof. Baoru Huang (UoL & ICL), focuses on Next-action planning for surgical video analysis, integrating computer vision and temporal modeling to develop real-time surgical assistance systems.
Previously, I earned my First-Class Honors degree (3.9/4.0) in Information and Computing Science from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. During my undergraduate studies, I was a core developer at Professor Haining Liang's X-CHI Lab (now at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, formerly University of Liverpool and XJTLU). There, I specialized in Human-Computer Interaction, Virtual Reality, and Mixed Reality (XR), primarily utilizing Unity3D for development, and contributed significantly to several published papers.
Beyond my studies, I harbor a keen interest in computer vision topics, including stable diffusion and nerf. I believe in the power of technology to shape innovative solutions and enhance our understanding of the world.
Currently, I am engaged as a research assistant at X-CHI Lab, XJTLU, working alongside Professor Hai-Ning Liang. This experience allows me to delve deeper into the fascinating intersection of academia and practical application.
